Warcraft

There are so few game titles that could shift seamlessly into a directors arms, with the stories often being dry and the entertainment coming from gameplay itself, however we've seen Hitman, Tekken, and even The Mario Brothers appear on the big screen, and then fall flat.

Personally I would love to see Skyrim light up the big screen, better yet Fallout New Vegas has enough in it to make it. World of Warcraft however? Risky, it's going to either entertain the long term fans, but disappoint the average movie goer, or do the opposite.

Looking at the trailer it does look incredible, you can see the effort. I really want this to do well and show the public why Warcraft is so loved and cherished, but I'm worried it'll just fail and be a geekfest that only turns people against the franchise like South Park did. Either way I imagine more people will turn up to play whether the movie does well or not.

Lets hope it pulls a Guardians of the Galaxy on us and makes something that shouldn't be epic, totally, overwhelmingly brilliant.
