Games:

Rain World is a 2d adventure game in which you play as a slug-cat, (obviously), and attempt to progress through an industrialised world avoiding enemies and collecting items. Developed by Adult Swim games who seem to be stepping out of their comfort zone with this title, other than the use of a slug-cat it looks like a very atmospheric and serious game.

It uses a system similar to the classic Atari 2600 titles where you move from one still-scene to another whether it by above, below, or to either side. Imagine that E.T. game on the 2600 but add gameplay, (ha).

Honestly though this looks like the sort of game you get lost in, but for no reason, you just enjoy it because its different and has a story you don't have to pay attention too to enjoy the experience.

VFX:

Batman vs Superman is upon us! So lets talk about Suicide Squad, because its going to be about seven times more interesting. The trailer does something different to entice us, instead of throwing explosions and huge rooms of guns and fire across our televisions and monitors, it just slows down and shows us what we want to see.

It looks like its going to have an in depth story which requires actual acting and not just suits attacking suits, which is what we often expect. Each character has his/her own little piece of madness, just to prepare people for what's going to happen, with the Joker coming at the end.

Of course this is my opinion and its all from a trailer, if its an awful piece of worthless crap then come back to this post and laugh at me, or do it in person, whatever suits you.

Animation:

Forest 500 is a very short animation on deforestation facts and information about who can help slow the progress. The message is a clear one, but isn't the focus, the animation itself is different, it uses a really unique style of bold colours and simple entities.

The only thing it reminds me of is an old cartoon from around the 60s period with another dimension. I really like things like this, things that have to be watched with full focus to be truly appreciated, I imagine the company behind it have an artist that really deserves some more credit, I cant think of how many people are stuck under management that don't use their full potential.
